Sissy DeMaria is the Founder & CEO of Cultivate PR & Social Media, a fully integrated public relations and social media agency with offices in Miami and New York. She is also the founder of WorldWise PR Affiliates, a global network of independently owned public relations agencies located in key markets around the world.
A lifelong equestrian, Sissy co-founded Give Back for Special Equestrians in 2013, where she serves as Chairman of the Board. This nonprofit provides therapeutic horseback riding scholarships for disabled children and veterans in Florida and New York.
With more than 30 years of experience, Sissy is a PR powerhouse known for building lasting, impactful relationships. She has a proven track record of creating compelling brand events and stories that generate significant media coverage across all channels.
Sissy is a go-to fixture within the PR and media communities of New York and Miami. Her agency, Cultivate PR (formerly Kreps DeMaria), boasts a roster of bold-faced clients, both current and past, including luxury retailer Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, Four Seasons Residences Miami, the Fisher Island Club, Burgess Yachts, Paramount Miami World Center, Jade Signature, 57 Ocean, The Avenue Naples, Four Seasons Tower Brickell, The Setai, Continuum, and Coldwell Banker Mason Morse in Aspen, Colorado.
Sissy is led by her innate sense of style, integrity and insight into the mindset of journalists. As Founder of Cultivate PR Sissy directs and manages all accounts, leads and conceptualizes strategic partnership and works closely with all clients on their communication and marketing needs.
Sissy is the recipient of numerous industry and civic awards, including PR News’ “Top Women in PR,” South Florida Business Journal’s “Influential Business Women,” South Florida Luxury Guide’s “Women of Style and Substance,” and Ocean Drive’s “Women of Influence.” Most recently, she was named to Manhattan Modern Luxury’s prestigious “The List”. In 2018, Kreps DeMaria was named one of the “Most Powerful Real Estate PR Firms” in New York City by the Observer.
A graduate of the University of Miami , she is active in social and civic circles, and serves on the Board of Give Back for Special Equestrians, Coral Gables Community Foundation, advisory board of Gallop NYC and is an Associate Member of Beaux Arts and Young Patronesses of the Opera.
She is married to Dr. Guenther Koehne and has three adult children. The Koehne’s divide their time between New York City, Vero Beach and Miami.
